It Started With a Blanket Stealer, Ball Chaser, Halter Flinger…

Enter Arlo: part Houdini, part tornado, all trouble.

Nothing was safe in the aisle or field. He stole anything that wasn’t nailed down, flung it like a rodeo champ, and recruited his “partner in crime” for tag-team chaos. Balls, cones, buckets—you name it, he turned it into a toy, a projectile, or both.

I’d seen horses happily trot around a field chasing a ball. Arlo? He choreographed full-blown performance art.

It didn’t take long to realize ordinary boredom toys didn’t stand a chance.

And a Lot of “This Should’ve Worked” Moments

We bought every boredom toy we could find. Arlo tested them all. The so-called “indestructible” ones? Not so much. Some popped. Others were shredded in minutes.

So I stopped shopping and started designing.

The goal was simple: create toys that could actually survive, entertain, and keep up with horses like Arlo. (click on video)

Horses are honest product testers. Brutally honest.

Pretty is easy. Making something that survives teeth, hooves, the field, and whatever creative chaos comes next takes a little more thought.

With a background in packaging, product, and accessories design, I look at every detail through both a designer’s eye and a barn-aisle reality check. Construction matters. Materials matter. And if I wouldn’t use it with my own horse, it doesn’t make the cut.

Between English and Western, Right Where We Like It.

My design philosophy comes from a life spent in both arenas.

In the Northeast, I learned the precision of English riding—from jumping and dressage to eventing, hacking, and training. In Texas, I immersed myself in the Western world, from reiners and barrel racers to trail riders and ranch work.

Different disciplines. Different styles. Same partnership.

Because underneath it all, good horsemanship comes down to trust, respect, grit, and gear that can keep up with the job.
