Crafted from premium Argentine saddle-grade leather, the Halo & Horns Leather Lead pairs bold western artistry with reliable performance. Designed for your true heart horse, because every horse has a bit of an angel and a devil in them. This collection celebrates the deep bond and playful spirit you share with your equine partner. Available in an 8ft Chain & Bolt Snap option for added leverage and control, this lead is built to stand out in the arena while standing up to daily wear.

Artisan Craftsmanship: Deeply tooled halo, horn, angel heart, and devil heart motifs accented with a contrasting color rub and coordinating lime green stitching to match your halter. The tooling is worked directly into the leather—not a surface print—so the detail is made to last.
Bold Colorways: Turquoise with lime green contrast stitching designed to match your Halo & Horns Halter.
Hardware: Polished chrome chain attached to the leather shank for training and spirited situations.
Authentic Spliced Construction: crafted from authentic, full-grain hides. Because genuine leather has natural length constraints, our 8ft leads feature a heavy-duty, reinforced splice that ensures full-length strength without switching to synthetic materials. As each piece is individually spliced, pattern alignment at the seam will naturally vary, making every lead uniquely handcrafted.

Premium Leather: Handcrafted from un-padded, premium Argentine saddle-grade leather (~1/4-inch thickness) with polished chrome hardware. As a genuine natural material, each strap features subtle individual character that breaks in and softens beautifully with use to develop a supple, custom feel.
Coordinating Contrast Stitching: Features vibrant, color-matched stitching designed to pair seamlessly with your Halo & Horns halter.
Signature Tooling: Deeply tooled halo, horn, angel heart, and devil heart motifs worked directly into the leather with a contrasting color rub.
Hardware: Available with a heavy-duty attached polished chrome chain with bolt snap.
Lead Dimensions: 8-foot total leather length with an approximate 1/4-inch leather thickness.

Initial Preparation: Wipe down prior to initial use with a clean, dry microfiber cloth to remove residual shop dust.
Routine Cleaning: After each handling session, wipe off dirt, sweat, and debris with a damp cloth. For deeper cleans, use a glycerine-based leather cleaner or gentle saddle soap on un-dyed surfaces. Avoid scrubbing hand-painted or color-rubbed tool lines aggressively.
Conditioning: Apply a quality leather conditioner periodically to keep the 8-foot Argentine saddle leather supple and pliable in hand. Avoid heavy oiling over bright colored dye sections to prevent bleeding or discoloration.
Hardware Maintenance: Wipe the polished chrome bolt snap and chain links with a soft dry cloth to prevent tarnish and moisture buildup. Keep the trigger mechanism clear of dirt and debris.
Storage: Store hanging straight in a cool, dry, well-ventilated tack room away from direct sunlight and extreme heat to prevent cracking, fading, or mildew.

Intended Use: For supervised equine leading and ground handling only. Not intended for turn-out or cross-tying. Do not tie a horse using a lead chain. Lead chains are strictly for active hand-leading under direct supervision. Never leave a horse unattended with a chain lead attached. Never attach the chain directly around the horse's neck or legs. Never loop chain under chin.
Safe Handling: Never wrap the lead or chain around your hand, wrist, or body.
Inspection: Routinely check hardware, snaps, chain links, and leather stitching for wear. Discontinue use immediately if any component is damaged or compromised.
